The need for an HD engine guard has become apparent on the KEDO team's XTs in enduro use.
The XT250 has no frame downtube, so the engine guard is particularly stressed and the engine housing is at risk.
In contrast to the thin-walled original part, the HD engine guard is absolutely dimensionally stable even in tough off-road use thanks to its welded structure and high side walls

The rear mounting plate offers optimum force distribution on the main frame thanks to its large contact surface.
Fitting tip: the rear adapter plate should rest on its entire surface. For this purpose, the slightly protruding welding beads between the original engine guard mounts and the frame cross tube on some XTs can be straightened.
